88Aubree L.
Defense is her happy place. Sunday the coaches put her at forward and she finished one.
Aubree would pick defense every time, but she plays wherever the coaches need her, and she does it without making it a thing. Against St. Clair Shores she lined up at forward, kept getting shots on net all game, and then went in alone on the Saints goalie for her first goal of the season at 12:47 of the third, with the assist from Rachael K. (#58). That is what being a team player looks like.
Plays where she is needed, prefers the blue line, scores when the moment shows up. Not a bad combo.

29Everly R.
Our only goal of the night came off her stick, and it was earned.
Everly has been stacking more and more minutes of impact every single game. She plays heavy: first to the puck, never shy about the corners, and a real physical presence every time she hops over the boards. Against OJG it finally showed up on the scoresheet. With 1:42 left in the third, she buried our only goal of the night, assisted by Emma J. (#14), in a game where nobody on this team quit.
Coach Tim says the work has been there all season. That goal was the receipt, and honestly? Plenty more where that came from.

21Julia C.
Spent the whole night on the ice and never once in the box.
Midland tie, Oct 25. Julia got asked to do a lot and said "cool." A few power play shifts back on D. Penalty kill duty when the game got tight. And zero trips to the sin bin, which the coaches double-checked because, well, it's Julia.
Plays both ends, takes whatever job the bench hands her, keeps it clean. That's what we mean by effort that never shows up on the score sheet.

Ryan McBride
Head Coach · COACH BIO
Coach Ryan got his Ph.D. at Cornell in 2009, where he ran experiments on plasma getting squished by magnets on a pulsed-power machine called COBRA. Yeah, it's as intense as it sounds.
From 2008 to 2016 he was a staff physicist and department manager at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, working on nuclear fusion, radiation and high-pressure experiments on a giant machine called Z. Main character energy.
Now he's a professor at the University of Michigan, where he studies magnetized liner inertial fusion (MagLIF), one of the three main U.S. ways to try to make fusion energy happen. So basically he's working on making a tiny star. And then he coaches us. Iconic.

Lowkey a genius behind the bench, and yes, he does the science-y stuff for real.
