Back at the Oct 3 and Oct 4 tournament in Sault Ste. Marie, Biggby Black beat the Oakland Lady Grizzlies 2-1 and 3-2, both by one goal. They are the lowest-rated team we have played all year, but those games were tight, and no team likes losing to the same opponent twice (let alone getting a third round). Tonight's game is also the first one since two straight 3-3 ties, so we are playing with some real momentum: three goals in each of our last three games.
Keys: get on the board early (we've scored first in only two of our last five), keep the power play humming (3 PP goals in the last 2 games), and keep the foot down once we get a lead.

OJG invited the whole team to their Trunk or Treat right after the game (9 PM). Breaking news: the coaches are NOT dressing up. Bold strategy. Their costume is "adult who definitely owns a fleece vest," and honestly it is a lot scarier than anything at that party. We asked for effort and got a whistle and a thermos.
